The Athlete’s Foot

The Athlete’s Foot is the world’s first franchisor of athletic footwear stores and is recognised today as a world leader in athletic footwear retailing. The company has supported RideAid since the outset. Franchisees run a month-long in-store promotion and raise awareness and funds for all our projects. The January 2012 fundraiser will feature 34 industry-leading sports companies, making it our biggest industry-supported event to date. Many franchisees have come on field trips to visit RideAid projects. Managing Director Michael Cooper attended the opening ceremony for the first Athletes Foot School.

Hale School WA

One of Western Australia’s oldest independent boys’ schools, Hale School is an Anglican day and boarding school for boys. Hale is an exceptional school, made so by a tradition of educational excellence which spans many decades. Principal Stuart Meade has taken a personal involvement in our cause and traveled to Cambodia to open the RideAid Hale School and review our other projects. Jill Maskiell has led her service learning team and students on annual trips to engage with Cambodian students at their brother school. These visits have been eagerly anticipated by our Cambodian kids and staff and are one of the highlight events of the year. Hale students have proclaimed the experience to be “life- changing”. The next generation of students are preparing for a visit in April 2012.
